There truly was no rest for the wicked.

Even after suffering heavy losses at Dewford, including that of a Charizard taken from her all too soon, the League needed Shalin more than ever. With the Mauville Leader failing to stop Rocket from seizing a major cache of Dynite Ore and Terastal Crystals, it was ever more important to extract the ore from the only other place it was known: the dangerous Ultra Sea.

Lathiel galloped alongside Sandy, the Sygna Suited rider a look-alike of the Flygon she rode to the depths on. Their pleasant hum echoed throughout the skeletal body of the colossal Eternatus they would be mining Dynite Ore near. Sending out her Seismitoad and Kommo-o, the two used the power of vibration to grind nearby rock to dust, unearthing what her superior had tasked her to bring to the surface. Shalin herself would do her best to shield emmett brookes from the core's radiation, she and her dragon serving as living shields. Lathiel's eyes stayed sharp for the Ultra Beasts their presence would no doubt attract.

Truth be told, Emmett doesn't quite get the hype surrounding these strange crystals. Be it necessary in their fight against Rocket or extraterrestrial threats, they simply have yet to understand the potential consequences of tapping into powers beyond their comprehension.[break][break]

Still, orders are orders. And he'd be damned if he's getting his paycheck slashed over an uncompleted job.[break][break]

"Don't you think it's weird?" A rough starter is what he needs to get conversation flowing, something to keep their minds occupied lest the paranoia sink in early. It was strange that the League would be gathering Dynite Ore for so long. What would they do with all of it, stick it in some storehouse ripe for the taking? In a cruel way, Shalin hoped nothing would come of it. If this Dynite Ore were to hold some unknown power that would turn the tide of the war, the League wouldn't have that advantage for long. Rocket was everywhere, they would find the same power and build upon it with their illicit means.

"Not as weird as all those Terastal caverns pop up all over Hoenn," Shalin replied in between bursts of loud noise from Treble's vibrating fists melting through rock like a stick of butter in a frying pan. "And crazier has happened. I'd have called myself crazy for the things this suit lets me do. I get the feeling you might get to see." Seeing would be believing. The Poipole and Nihilego would be coming for Shalin and Emmett. It was only a matter of time.
